Concepts of Metaphysics
only science capable of inquiring beyond physical and human science.
Traditionally, the word metaphysics came to us from ancient Greece, where it was a combination of two words — meta, meaning outside and above — and physics. Thus, the meaning of conjunction is beyond physics. In the definitions found in most dictionaries, metaphysics refers to a branch of philosophy that deals with the nature of matter first and being. It is considered a branch of philosophy in most universities under the banner of “reflective philosophy.”
However, in today’s world, the term metaphysics has become a description of many areas of interest. When someone expresses an interest in metaphysics, that interest can be in one or a combination of the following topics:
Philosophy, Religion, Parapsychology, Mysticism, Yoga, ESP, Dreams, Jungian Psychology, Transpersonal and Theoretical Psychology, Astrology, Meditation, Self-Help Studies, Positive Thinking, Life after Death, Transcendentalism, Mysticism, Reincarnation.
A common symbol of these and similar subjects is, in fact, an examination of the facts, and in a conceptual sense, how such knowledge can benefit the individual and communal life here on earth. If this is the goal of pleasing one, most physicists consider metaphysics to be a spiritual philosophy or way of life. There are very few metaphysical practitioners today, and any system or teaching of metaphysics has a powerful argument for spiritual philosophy. It is essential to understand this, especially when exploring the traditional methods of being in metaphysics.
If we traveled from one metaphysical teacher or organization to another, we would find people doing different things under the label of metaphysics. This can be a wide range, such as yogis, mystics, astrologers, positive-minded teachers, meditation teachers, spiritual healers, graph analysis, self-help teachers, counselors, coaches, etc. The range is vast, but again the basic denominator is the search for truth, the purpose, and meaning of life, which is inseparable from fundamental spiritual issues. Therefore, all of these areas are considered part of metaphysics by the University of Metaphysics and the University of Sedona, concerning the doctoral degree, as well as other programs and relationships with students and graduates.
It is not the universities’ position or its main body, the International Ministry of Metaphysics, to take over one stage of study after another, as universities believe that people can go different ways to find the truth. An old saying says: “Regardless of what path he can take, this is my path. Wherever they go, it leads to Me.
More specifically, we like to think that metaphysics deals with life problems, such as human-made relationships, mentality, and the universe, which give rise to answers to old questions rest. to think about life by asking everyone the most important questions. “Who am I; what am I?” Where was I? Where am I going? “
Because of the common denominator of spiritual philosophies held by Oneness, Religious Science, and the degree of independence, the word “New Thought” has been adopted to denote a religious movement. The basic premise of everything is one ordinary mind, an involved mental and physical body. By implanting the thought of healing in the sense of a person/body, a part of the mind of God can influence recovery. It is a complete process defined by the union of body, mind, spirit, and the association of spirituality, philosophy, and metaphor. This faith led to the development of spiritual activities such as Oneness and Religious Science and contributed to the birth of many independent teachings and denominations in metaphysical directions.
